Retail Review #154 (10/11 Zenith Blaster Box)

I wanted to open up something that wouldn't take too much time so I chose to go with 10/11 Zenith. Zenith blasters only have three packs in them, which makes them a very quick open. The blaster should yield at least one hit, so that's definitely something to look forward to.

Price -
$10.95

Packs - 3
10/11 Zenith Blaster Packs

I always look back and wonder how Zenith could be priced so high at the retail level. Sure, you get one hit per blaster, but most of the times it's a boring Winter Warriors jersey card. Given the price, I would rather go for a Certified blaster. Both Zenith and Certified were given a retail price of $29.99, but with Certified being such a superior product, it was hard to justify getting Zenith.

As it stands now, Zenith is but a fraction of its original cost. At about ten dollars I would gamble a bit on a blaster or two. I would just have to remember to cross my fingers in hopes to avoid a Winter Warrior jersey card!

Let's hope the hit isn't what it usually is:

Review -
Hey! This blaster wasn't too bad! My hit was pretty decent for one of these blasters, and each pack at least had an insert card to find within it. The pack with a hit in it was very obvious as it was much thicker than the other packs in the box. I guessed that the hit wouldn't be an autograph... probably just a plain, one-color jersey card from the awful Winter Warriors jersey set.

Let's check out my top cards this week:

Top 3 Cards

#3 - Penguins Mozaics Card No. 16
Too bad Sid the Kid isn't on this card, else-wise that would have probably bumped this card to number two rather than three. It's still a great looking card though. I love that the Pens jerseys are all different.

#2 - Marc-Andre Fleury Card No. 6
What is this, a Pens take-over? The number two spot goes to Marc-Andre Fleury's Crease is the Word card. The Flower was always a favorite of mine, so it's always fun to find his cards in packs.

#1 - Avalanche Mozaics Card No. 5
My best hit of this blaster came in the form of this triple jersey card of the Avalanche. Most of the time these cards just have one swatch in them. This one that I pulled today had three! I'm very happy with this particular hit!

Overall Value -
This was one of the stronger (in terms of content) Zenith blasters I have gotten. The triple jersey, while probably not a big money card on eBay, is a sweet looking hit. I am very happy that I pulled it out of this blaster. Next week I'll try to open something with more packs!

Let me know what you thought of my break in the comment section below. Have you ever pulled anything good out of one of these? I'd love to hear about it.

Overall Value Score:
8/10
